About me

Beth Austin is a fully qualified and insured veterinary physiotherapist

after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a PGDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy.

I have been fortunate to be surrounded by animals my entire life. My father has always had working gun dogs which gave me a good understanding of sporting animals from a young age. Horses have also been a large part of my life, from having my own horses competing in various disciplines, pony club and hunting, being an assistant equine vet nurse at New Zealand's leading equine vets, and working as a groom at elite level in various disciplines in the UK and overseas. I have also completed a BSc (Hons) in Equine Sport Science, which enabled me to expand my knowledge of equestrian science and rehabilitation.

As well as running my own mobile veterinary physiotherapy business, I am also contracted at a vets in a Rehabilitation Centre every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Within the clinic I get to use state of the art equipment such as an underwater treadmill, hot spa and class IV companion laser.

I am now currently working towards topping up my PGDip to an MSc by creating and fulfilling a research project with the University of Nottingham.
